Partituras de Béla Bartók - Compositor húngaro de la era moderna
Béla Bartók (*25 de marzo de 1881 en Groß-Sankt-Nikolaus/Nagyszentmiklós, † 26 de septiembre de 1945 en Nueva York) nació en el entonces Reino de Hungría (Austria-Hungría) y recibió sus primeras lecciones de piano y composición en Presburgo (Eslovaquia) a los 12 años. Bártok también estudió estas materias en Budapest y llegó a ser conocido en toda Europa como compositor moderno, pianista y etnomusicólogo.
En contraste con sus colegas contemporáneos como Arnold Schönberg o Anton Webern, que sólo exploraron brevemente el estilo del romanticismo tardío y luego se convirtieron en representantes de la vanguardia musical y en la piedra angular de la música serial y la música de doce tonos, Bartók adoptó los elementos del modernismo musical (como el uso de los doce tonos), pero dejó entrever claramente sus raíces al incorporar la estilística de la música folclórica húngara a sus composiciones.
La Œuvre de Bartók abarca casi todos los géneros musicales, desde simples canciones artísticas hasta obras escénicas completas — su obras para piano (Bartók fue un pianista excepcional y ocupó una cátedra de piano en Budapest) y sus obras de música de cámara; su Streichquartette están considerados como los mejores de su género que ha producido el siglo XX.
Béla Bartók también se hizo un nombre inmortal tras su muerte gracias a su obra didáctica. Supo componer estudios para violín de un nivel técnicamente fácil, de tal forma que podían seguir el ritmo musical de la literatura de concierto más pesada. Pero, por supuesto, Bartók también compuso partituras para violín o violín y piano como material puramente interpretativo.
Su Mikrokosmos, compuesto por 153 piezas, sigue formando parte de la literatura didáctica estándar en la pedagogía pianística actual. Organizada de forma progresiva, introduce a los alumnos de piano sucesivamente desde piezas fáciles para principiantes hasta literatura difícil para pianistas avanzados.
