John Towner Williams (nacido el 8 de febrero de 1932 en Nueva York), o John Williams para abreviar, es sin duda uno de los más grandes compositores de música de cine de nuestro tiempo.
Durante más de medio siglo, John Williams ha escrito las partituras de más de 120 largometrajes hasta la fecha. Por cinco de ellas, Williams recibió el Oscar en la categoría „Mejor Música"“ – La lista de Schindler es una de ellas. John Williams ganó el Premio Grammy por otras 24 películas, así como otros numerosos galardones como el Premio Cinematográfico de la Academia Británica o el Premio Emmy.
