Por Una Cabeza is the famous Argentinian Tango from the film 'Scent of a Woman'. Our arrangement is very easy to play, with low brass ranges, yet makes for great Tango. The 'verse' is played by Flute,...

Transcribed from the original Johnny Keating chart, Ol' Man River is an absolute screamer of a chart, from the time when the Ted Heath band was at its height. Heath recorded two slightly different ver...

Mambo Jambo is another fine composition from Perez Prado, and is a powerful Mambo chart that has an all pervading swing feel. The usual Prado trademarks are here, with unison Saxes in the first chorus...

Cerezo Rosa, or Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White as it is otherwise known, is probably Perez Prado's most well known piece. In essence, it's a Trumpet solo with big band backing, and is instantly r...

Our chart of Desafinado is written as a smooth bossa, featuring your two tenor saxes. The sax solo lines are written out, so no improvisation is needed. The brass have limited ranges, with trumpets on...

Here is Estrellita, as played by Perez Prado and his orchestra. This chart is a lovely combination of melodic Trumpet feature and big band latin, in a style that only Prado can achieve. The Trumpet so...

'Wheels' is a neat little Cha-Cha dating from the early 1960's. Joe Loss and his Orchestra had minor chart success with their version of it. Our chart, whilst not a transcription, retains much of the...

Another rare chart from the Hefti days of the Basie band. This is NOT the Hefti stock chart that was issued many years ago. It is the complete Basie version, and a nice Trombone sectional feature. We...

A superb example of ensemble playing from the Ted Heath book. This version is not written as a slow ballad, but is a grooving mid-tempo swing chart that packs plenty of punch. The chart relies on some...

Here is Benny Goodman's 1947 hard swinging version of Fred Fisher's enduring classic. (Please don't confuse it with the earlier, and more predictable, 1934 Henderson chart). This later version, whilst...

Transcribed from Peggy Lee's 1959 'Jump for Joy' album, this beautifully crafted Nelson Riddle chart swings hard from start to finish. The band writing is sublime and always gives perfect support to t...

Here is our take on Doris Day's charming vocal chart for the Les Brown Orchestra, not to be confused with her 1955 show version with Percy Faith. The chart opens with an instrumental half-chorus, modu...

Adapted from Ella Fitzgerald's Cole Porter Songbook recording, this chart is laid back, relaxed and easy to play. It would make a good 'change-of-pace chart' for a concert setting or live gig. The arr...

Transcribed from Natalie Cole's 'Still Unforgettable' album, this chart is a really clever fusion of old and new, as it combines elements of Nat King Cole's original recording along with his daughters...
