This Cynthia Dobrinski setting of the hymn tune AZMON features a wealth of text painting on the words 'O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise. ' A variety of fresh musical ideas are employed, including optional handchimes offsetting a sturdy bass melody. The introduction of 6/8 meter in the middle section creates a new mood, leading into a minor section, and then building to a majestic grand finale.
