Bossa Caribe is a smooth bossa nova inspired by the gentle waves and warm breezes of the beaches on the Caribbean Sea. Its light, catchy rhythms carry an undeniably energetic undercurrent. Use the melodic elements of the chart to solidify your ensemble's concept of syncopation, an all-important characteristic of Latin music.
This tune is flexibly orchestrated so that it can be played by as few as 9 players. Additionally, everyone in the ensemble has an opportunity to improvise in the open solo section, and the set includes two suggested solos and a CD with a solo practice track, to facilitate successful improvisation.
