This chart, arranged from a contemporary funk/rock tune in G minor, is wirtten for a standard jazz big band (5,4,4,4) and encompasses a broad range of dynamics as well as a variety of different combinations of instruments. Within the score are numerous saxophone soli sections in addition to several intricate trombone sectional orchestrations. The music blends across one section to the other as the music flows within different sections; trumpets playing with saxophones, saxophones playing with trumpets and so on. The chart leaves several options open to the drummer to bring to the tune as many different funk/rock beats as desired. Solos for 2nd alto sax, 1st trombone and 1st tenor sax. Doubles: 2nd alto sax doubles on sop sax, 2nd tenor sax doubles on flute, and 4th trumpet doubles on flugelhorn.
