As recorded on John Daversa's 'Live at Catalina's', this chart is a moderate jazz/R&B groove (swing 16ths) with a memorable, sing-able melody. It features a solo for the flute (which could be played on alto if preferred) before the ensemble restates the melody and seemingly ends. However, the R&B groove lightly begins again, as a trumpet solo begins. The ensemble steadily gains momentum, adding sections, power, and range, until the chart peaks all over again, but this time at an even higher zenith. Highest note for lead trumpet is written high Gb. Key: Eb Major.
