The catchy groove in this original will have your audiences tapping their feet while offering developing bands a chance to hone their Latin skills. Brass ranges are moderate, rhythm section parts are fully notated, and 2nd Trumpet has a written solo. Friendly chord progressions in the two solo sections can be negotiated using notes from just one scale, and an ensemble passage that moves from a whisper to a roar is a special highlight. Latin percussion instruments -- congas, timbales, bongos, shaker, cowbell, etc. -- can be added if desired. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included.
