Trumpet and Soprano sax featured soloists (Tim Hagans/Mike Smith) get to exorcize all of their demons in this medium swing, but absolutely burning take on 'I Hear A Rhapsody' changes. Angular motifs, disjunct punches, and a kind of funky, improvised ostinato Bb give way to a surprisingly tuneful melody.
