This was commissioned by the Miller Junior High School jazz band directed by William Dyer. This is a sophisticated, contemporary sounding, mostly modal chart in a straight- eigth note groove. Things get a little funky before the one-chord open solo section, where it settles back to the original groove. Solos: alto, tenor, trumpet or trombone. Trumpet range F# top line. 5/4/4/P,B,D, Optl. vibes.
