Selected as a finalist for the 2007 BMI/Charlie Parker Jazz Competition Award, this gorgeous jazz waltz was originally written as a surprise for his wife on their wedding day. Lush sonorities are achieved with woodwind doubles and muted brass. Alto sax, trombone, flugelhorn and drum set are featured. The original sextet version was recorded by the Earl MacDonald 6 and features saxophonist Dick Oatts. (Sea Breeze Records SB 3072). Medium difficulty.
