Letter B is the first variation, stated by the ensemble . Letter C is open for solos. Also, it includes an optional background on cue. The alto sax should be featured on the last improvised solo, since letter D features it, and the D.S. goes back to letter A. Trpt. to written F# on staff. Although not indicated in the score, the alto sax could fill in on the very last measure. A,T,B,1 trpt, bone, G,P,B,D. Medium.
