As recorded by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band ('XXL' Silverline Records) featuring Eddie Daniels on clarinet, this rollicking swing tune commemorates legendary composer Thad Jones' dislike of clarinet solos. There is plenty of room for your clarinet (or soprano sax) to stretch out and exchange phrases with each section. After a climatic shout chorus, your soloist gets an open cadenza (in which he may attempt to change Thad's mind) and we all come together for the exciting conclusion.
