Epitaffio 1, 2 e 3 auf Federico Garcia Lorca

With the three-part cycle "Epitaffio 1, 2 e 3 auf Federico García Lorca", a deeply moving and sonorous monument to the Spanish poet unfolds. Based on the haunting verses of Lorca and Pablo Neruda, this composition masterfully unites musical intensity with poetic and expressive sharpness. Each of the three movements captivates through its distinctive instrumentation: The opening piece, "España en el corazón", is scored for soloists, small mixed choir, and instruments, followed by the intimate, lamenting "Y su sangre ya viene cantando" for flute and small orchestra. The monumental finale, "Memento – Romance de la Guardia civil española", mesmerizes through the dramatic interplay of a female speaker, speech choir, mixed choir, and orchestra. Published by the renowned Ars Viva, this high-quality study score offers conductors, scholars, and students an essential insight into one of the most powerful vocal and instrumental works of the modern era.
