The Journey of Hope was written as a commission for the Jacksonville Children's Chorus, Darren Dailey, director. It is scored for SSAB voices, with the baritone part written so that it is appropriate for changing male voices. Accompanimental parts are provided for piano, djembe, cabasa, and bass guitar. The title gives a clue to the focus of the text: a forward-looking view of what we can accomplish together through hope and unity.
