Daniel Dorff

Dorff indulges his fascination with musical story-telling, with translating text into the far broader language of music, to show us his own imagery associated with the famous Kilmer poem. Using the text as a reference point, flutists are encouraged to interpret Dorff's music freely, 'as a theater piece. . . rather than as a concert score played literally. ' This brings Kilmer, Dorff, and flutist together for a unique performance experience. For advanced students and performers. Duration: c. 5'
