My love is like a red, red rose

With "My love is like a red, red rose", Scottish national poet Robert Burns created one of the most poignant declarations of love in world literature. In this exquisite a cappella arrangement for mixed choir (SATB), Jim Clements masterfully captures the lyrical charm and pure beauty of the traditional Scottish folk song. Originally composed for the world-renowned vocal ensemble VOCES8, the piece stands out with its flowing voice leading and warm, rich harmonies—entirely without divisi, making it an excellent choice for advanced chamber choirs and ambitious community choirs alike.
