Great fun! After a slow, 'soulful' opening for unison voices (opt. solo), this energetic adaptation of a traditional spiritual 'shifts gears' into a driving, syncopated 'chariot ride'! Blues harmonies and call and response highlight the choral texture. In three voicings for singers of all ages, terrific for school concerts and for church choirs throughout the year, especially All Saints', Lent and Transfiguration.
