Composed to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and commissioned by the Swansea Festival of Music & the Arts, this piece is a specifically Welsh tribute to the monarch. Grahame Davies' empathetic lyrics praise the late Queen's lifelong duty and service, emphasizing that these personal qualities serve as an example to every citizen. These themes are reflected and deepened in Karl Jenkins' evocative setting. The six-minute work can be performed with piano or full orchestra, for which performance material can be borrowed.
