C. Thomas Schwalm

Wondrous Love American Folk Hymn

Breathtaking. One of the most beloved texts of all time gets a new treatment with Thomas Schwalm's original melody. This lyrical arrangement may very well rival the folk tune we all know and love with its beautiful, melancholy verses and gentle, unobtrusive accompaniment. The use of the cello is a must-it adds such depth of emotion and acts as an extra voice, singing an absolutely gorgeous duet with the baritones on the second verse. Wondrous Love is glorious simplicity set to music and will speak directly to your soul. Our recording features the Susquehanna Chorale, Linda Tedford, Conductor.
