Carl Stamitz

Orchesterquartett F-Dur

Immerse yourself in the gallant soundscape of the Mannheim School: The "Orchesterquartett F-Dur" (Orchestral Quartet in F major), edited by Marga Wilden-Hüsgen and published by Musikverlag Vogt & Fritz, is a delightful, catchy, and thoroughly charming work for plucked string orchestra. With a duration of approximately 13:25 minutes, this elegant composition offers pure musical pleasure for both players and audiences alike.

Technically, the piece offers a well-crafted balance: while the first mandolin and mandola feature expressive position playing, the guitar enriches the texture with accessible, beautiful melodic lines. This full score edition is an ideal choice for concert programs, competitions, or ambitious ensemble rehearsals—a sonic highlight that allows any plucked orchestra to shine.
