These attributes mentioned here: Ease -Swiftness - Precision - Vividness - Complexity - are used by Benjamin Schweitzer as signposts for putting the pop into the weasel in his solo violin part. Out of a network of internal quotations and variations, either written out or left up to the performer, abrupt halts and new starts, the soloist has to find their way out of a musical labyrinth - sometimes with amusing ease, but at other times with energetic rigour.
