Iridescent changes of time are the determining element in 'Poème érotique' of Cyril Scott's 'Deux Préludes' composed in 1912. Amid the melodic flow of the violin, the piano undertakes sophisticated shifts of the bar accents, from swaying three-eight time to rhapsodic seven-eight time.
