Wonderful showpiece in the style of Gatti, Tamplini, Torriani, and others. Neuparth (1830-1887), a bassoonist and later oboist also, was born in Portugal and taught in Lisbon most of his life. He studied bassoon with Weissenborn in Leipzig in 1852. Edited by Andrew D. Machamer, this work would be a new and refreshing addition to any recital for both student and professional bassoonists.
