Julius Weissenborn was an esteemed 19th century bassoon player and pedogogue, whose compositions and studies are still a major part of a young bassoonists education today. This piece is part of his 'Tone and Performance Studies', of which the publisher offers several other titles including: 'Arioso', 'Song Without Words', 'Elegie', 'Humoresque', 'Adagio', 'Notturno', 'Scherzo', 'Ballade', 'Romance No. 1', 'Capriccio', and 'Romance No. 2'.
