No fewer than 250 years of musical history are reviewed in this volume, beginning with the master composer Johann Sebastian Bach and culminating with Maurice Ravel. This publication comes with audio tracks available online in MP3format. Each piece is initially heard as a complete performance with both solo part and accompaniment. This is followed by a track containing only the accompaniment, which has been transcribed as closely as possible to theoriginal. In order to assist in the study of the faster works, there are accompaniment tracks at a slower tempo for ease of practising, as well as at the composer's specified speed for the finished performance. In the longerpieces extra track numbers have been added. Piano accompaniments are available in a separate publication (F 822-401).
