Louke wrote this trio for three matching flutes of any size; equally suitable for three C flutes or any combination of matching low flutes. The 5 1/2-minute work is in Fast-Moderato-Fast form; and suitable for students through professionals. Phyllis Louke composed ON THE MOVE to premiere herself; along with Sharon Byer and Paige Long on three contrabass flutes; at the 2020 International Low Flutes Festival in Tokyo.
