CONCERTO FOR HORN AND PIANO was commissioned by the horn player Miguel Martinez Megias. This piece is not programmatic as such, rather, the composer wanted to fully explore the capabilities of the horn as a solo voice and to enrich the repertoire forthis wonderful instrument. The composition is comprised of four parts, each of which has a unique character and creates a very special atmosphere: Sarabande, Toccata, Romance, and Finale.
