Luigi di Ghisallo wanted to compose a modern and cheerful march for lower school orchestra. And what better inspiration than one of the most modern countries in Europe? Sweden is very young and fashionable, in all facets. Moreover, the people are very friendly and good-humored. And because most Swedes are blond, Luigi di Ghisallo named this cheerful march 'Blond and Swedish'. BASIC SOUND From S to XXL - music for every wind orchestra instrumentation With 'Basic Sound', the music publisher RUNDEL has created a series that offers lower and intermediate level wind orchestras an interesting and varied repertoire - and that for orchestras of the most diverse sizes, from S to XXL. The basic instrumentation (the 'Basic Sound') makes performances possible even with minimal instrumentation. The 'Basic Sound' instrumentation is immediately recognizable in the score, as the parts that are required in any case are clearly marked by a frame. The smallest size (S) in 'Basic Sound' consists of the following instruments: one (1) flute, two (2) clarinets, one (1) alto saxophone, two (2) trumpets, one (1) trombone, one (1) baritone/euphonium, one (1) tuba, and drums/percussion. Each edition also includes an extensive set of parts (XXL).
