Ľudovít (Ludo) Beleš was born in 1922 in Košice (German: Kaschau). He worked for many years as an editor and program director at the former state radio of Czechoslovakia in Košice. With his expertise as a composer and arranger, he created various brass music programs over many years. Besides his work in radio, Ludo Beleš wrote numerous compositions in the field of popular entertainment music, including polkas, waltzes, and marches. His most famous and successful piece is the "Zuckerl-Polka" (Rozmarná).
Franz Watz is undoubtedly an outstanding musical personality. As a versatile composer, arranger, lecturer, and adjudicator, he has earned an unparalleled reputation. With his extraordinary talent, tireless dedication, and passion for music, he has created numerous successful works in the field of traditional wind music.
