Looking for a new opener for your next concert? Celebration Fanfare may be just the one! This Mark Williams original was commissioned for the 1997 Festival of the Arts in Spokane, Washington. This vigorous fanfare opens with a sixteenth-note motif in the Lydian mode that serves as a unifying feature througout the work. A contrasting Mixolydian middlen section gives way to the dramatic flourish of color that concludes the work. Trombone glissandi, woodwind trills and intricate snare work are just some of the exciting features of Celebration Fanfare. This unique combination of musical elements makes for another thrilling concert opener by Mark Williams!
