The Austrian music educator, conductor and composer Fritz Neuböck regrets that the repertoire for youth wind orchestras is predominantly pop music. Of course, this has its absolute justification in musical work with young people, but often a sudden confrontation with unfamiliar classical literature follows with the change from the youth wind orchestra to the large wind orchestra. In order to give young musicians an approach to this music, Fritz Neuböck has composed the classical suite 'Fanfare, Canto & Danza'. The first movement 'Fanfare' is festive, while 'Canto' sounds very lyrical and 'Danza' finally forms a swinging conclusion. Thanks to his many years of experience, Fritz Neuböck was able to arrange the three movements in a pedagogically sensible way, so that the music is both demanding and appealing at the same time. After all, the approach to classical literature should be enjoyable for the young instrumentalists, which will certainly be the case with this suite.
BASIC SOUND From S to XXL - music for every wind orchestra instrumentation
With 'Basic Sound', the music publisher RUNDEL has created a series that offers wind orchestras of the lower and intermediate levels an interesting and varied repertoire - and that for the most diverse instrumentation sizes, from S to XXL. Due to the basic instrumentation (the 'Basic Sound'), performances are possible even with minimal instrumentation.
The 'Basic Sound' instrumentation is immediately recognizable in the score, as the parts required in any case are clearly marked by a frame.
The smallest size (S) in 'Basic Sound' consists of the following instruments: one (1) flute, two (2) clarinets, one (1) alto saxophone, two (2) trumpets, one (1) trombone, one (1) baritone/euphonium, one (1) tuba and drums/percussion.
Each edition also contains an extensive set of parts (XXL). Thus, the works of the 'Basic Sound' series can be individually adapted to the respective orchestration.
