Descripción de la:
When Russian composer Joseph Schillinger met Leon Theremin (the inventor of the theremin) they collaborated resulting in a few of the first original pieces for the theremin. Among those pieces Schillinger wrote the "First Airphonic Suite" for Theremin and Orchestra. This suite is written in a traditional romantic format and sounds both Russian and American. The piece is shaped into seven uninterrupted movements: Prelude - Song - Interlude - Dance - Postlude - Dithyramb and Finale. The piece was premiered on November 29, 1929 by the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nikolai Sokoloff with Leon Theremin as the soloist.
