Descripción de la:
Jet Stream is a composition for a small wind orchestra. The jet stream, a strong wind in the lowest atmosphere of the Earth, is the focus of this musical performance. This strong wind occurs particularly frequently in the border areas of different temperature regions on Earth, where it separates warm and cold air masses from each other. The winds that flow horizontally around the globe can reach speeds of up to 540 kilometers per hour, about fifteen kilometers above our heads. These fast-paced wind chimes play a significant role in our weather and climate on Earth. The composition uses a so-called howling hose on the striking mechanism to symbolically represent the wind. "Jet Stream" tries to capture the dynamics and energy of these high-altitude winds in a musically and technically simple way. At the same time, through its dramatic tonal language, it serves as a call for a more responsible approach to our environment. Thanks to the small instrumentation, this piece is particularly suitable for wind classes.
