Bergen is the second biggest city in Norway and is famous for the seven mountains that sourround the city centre.
In this piece I salute the band that commissioned the piece
by picturing the mountains in music. It is in the form of a suite in seven movements.
1) Lyderhorn: some people are certain that whiches gathers here.
2) The sun rise seen from Damsgårdsfjellet.
3) L(o/vstakken is a favourite among local ramblers.
4) Ulriken is the highest and the most prominent and dominant of all the mountains.
5) Fl(o/yfjellet is probably the most famous place both among the citizens and tourists.
6) On Rundemanen you get this great feeling beeing a part of the nature.
7) On Sandviksfjellet a celebration is going on. Music that has a dance character and evolves and builds towards the end.
