Descripción de la:
Morton Gould's musical score for the CBS television series 'World War I' has been acclaimed as one of the most exciting and original yet commissioned for this medium. His music has truly evoked the moods of the era:thenostalgia, the doomed romanticism and the tragic human drama.
As one of America's most agile musical intellects, Morton Gould has pioneered in the creation of a meaningful repertoire for the symphonic band. Thissetting of the 'Prologue', which is the musical signature of the series, adheres strictly to the original television scoring. The dramatic intensity of the theme will make its performance a compellingmusicalexperience for performer and audience alike.
'World War I' permiered on the CBS Television Network in the fall of 1964 and featured Robert Ryan as narrator. The series was produced by CBS news and has been shownthroughoutthe world.
The original soundtrack album 'World War I', conducted by Morton Gould, is available on RCA Victor Red Seal Record: L M-2791/LSC-2791.
