This composition is a musical representation of the mountains surrounding Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites. It portrays the different colors that the rocks take on at various times of the day depending on the light that hits them. After the first light of dawn (Introduction) and the light and shadow effect during the day (Allegro), the attention of the composer focuses on the fascinating red haze that characterizes these wonderful natural formations at sunset (Adagietto).
