Descripción de la:
When composing Sinfonietta No. 3 "Zwölfmalgreien Sketches", Franco Cesarini was inspired by the community of Zwölfmalgreien. This municipality, consisting of twelve villages, was incorporated into the city of Bolzano (South Tyrol/Italy) over one hundred years ago. The peculiarity of these places, different from each other but all characterized by rare beauty, have contributed to compose this 3-movement piece.
The first movement, City Lifeillustrates activities, tourists and shopping in some villages. It is followed by Mountain Shadowsa slow movement describing the mountain villages where there is little sunshine in winter. Classic Vineyardsthe third movement is lively, in stark contrast to the previous one. It symbolizes the sun and warmth of these typical wine regions: Echoes of folk dances and Bacchus festivals can be heard from afar.
