For Three Aspects of Kurt Weill Peter Kleine Schaars took inspiration from the three periods that characterise the life of Weill - he successively lived in Berlin, Paris and New York. One theme is used to create three totally different atmospheres, a protest march against the fascists in Berlin, a French Musette (valse de Paris) and an American big band style Broadway orchestra.
