The composition opens with a long and stressful progression of sounds that will eventually lead to the beginning of the battle ... this introduction portrays Zeus's inner conflict before the fight against the Titans. Thanks to a harsh and obscure compositional idiom, this beginning underlines his mood filled with profound worry, anxiety, and terror. All of a sudden the fury! Zeus pounces with unheard-of violence on the Titans who succumb after a gory fight. Hearing the agonizing cries, the god suddenly turns around: a scenario of death and destruction moves him to stop and look at what his rage has caused ... This moment of stasis, though, is not destined to last as Zeus is forced to face the Giants whom he manages to defeat after a brief but slaughtering battle. From then on, Zeus reins sovereign as King of the Gods!
