Machine à eau was written under the auspices of the Pépinères europènnes poru jeunes artistesprogramme with support from PEJA, the City of Mons and the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Mons, Belgium.
First performance: Royal Chamber Orchestra of Mons, with solo cellist Jean-Paul Dessy, at La Machine á eau in Mons, 20th June 1998.
