Sinfonietta in three movements was written in 2009. In terms of style, the work makes reference to minimal music , using means of expression and compositional techniques associated with that trend. It is hard to withstand the impression that a fascination with the culture of the Far East also finds expression in Sinfonietta. The art of Tibetan Buddhism doesn't exists 'for art's sake' [...], but denotes the imperative of the meditative experience, the composer comments. I, too, truly want my music to impel reflection and, in slowing down the tempo of life, be of help in concentration and contemplation.
