Since 1999; the Rotary Club of Tulsa (OK) has supported the Internationl Crescendo Music Awards Competition; awarding cash prizes to select deserving college and high school students through audition and performance criteria. In its 15 year history; these awards have grown mightily - in scope; in prizes awarded; and in reputation. As part of its celebration of 15 years of Crescendo Music Awards; the Rotary Club of Tulsa commissioned Adler for a violin concerto (his first); to be performed by 2010 competition winner Siwoo Kim and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
