Descripción de la:
Johann Sebastian Bach’s masterly cantata "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott" (BWV 80) for Reformation Day is among the most impressive and powerful works of Baroque sacred music. Based on Martin Luther’s renowned hymn, the work unfolds an incomparable theological depth and sonic splendour. Alongside the four vocal soloists (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and four-part mixed choir (SATB), the intricate orchestral scoring shines with strings, basso continuo, and multifaceted oboe parts (oboe, oboe d’amore, oboe da caccia).
This edition includes the complete set of wind parts (Harmoniestimmen) and is based on the authoritative Urtext of the New Bach Edition by the renowned Bärenreiter Verlag. An indispensable, performance-tested edition of the highest standard—ideal for magnificent concert performances and festive church services.
