Descripción de la:
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) completed his Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat shortly after Vienna surrendered to Napleon's invading forces in the spring of 1809. It received its premiere on November 28, 1811 in Leipzig with Friedrich Scheider as the soloist and Johann Schulz conducting the Gewandhaus Orchestra. Its nickname, "The Emperor", stems from the character of the work, as well as its E-flat major tonality, which Beethoven often used to express the heroic, as did many composers after him. Instrumentation: 2.2.2.2: 2.2.0.0: Timp: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set): Solo Piano. Piano solo edited by Eugene d'Albert. Reprint edition.
