This set of variations on the Canadian folk song 'She's Like the Swallow' (taken from Kenneth Peacock's collection 'Songs of the Newfoundland Outports') has been written for two two pianos and orchestra. Commissioned by the Vancouver Foundation for Music in the Morning, Vancouver. Premiere: November 16, 1988, Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver, James Anagnason and Leslie Kinton, pianists, CBC Vancouver Orchestra, Mario Bernardi, conductor.
