Zoltán Kodály's Mátra Pictures are based on hungarian folk songs and were composed in 1931. They premiered in the same year at the Music Academy in Budapest under the direction of Viktor Karvaly.

These carols may be sung separately or as a group. For ease of rehearsal, an additional piano voice was added to this edition.
