Following the practice adopted in several of Groves' books of Hymn Tune Preludes, each of these pieces has been designed so that it can beplayed on a small two-manual Organ with pedals, or quite easily on a manual only, with or without pedals. Registration of a simple nature has been given, and this may, of course, be varied at the player's wish.
