Sortie was written based on the tune ‘DIX’ and was first improvised during the epiphany service at the Princeton University Chapel. This was inspired by and crafted as akin to a film score––with a festive march and fanfare ambiance that symbolize an imagery of a brightest star who guides the Magi on their way to pay homage to the young messiah.
