The Connecticut River sails back in time to historic sites along the state's most famous river. Board the 'Mystic Schooner' in the first movement for a fast and breezy trip to Mystic Seaport, a leading shipbuilding center since the 17th century. The second movement, the lively 'Ivory Keys Rag', revisits the days when piano keys were made of ivory transported up the river. The river itself is celebrated in the lyrical third movement, 'River Rhapsody'. The final movement, 'Memories of the Hockanum', recalls the days when more than 1000 mills dotted the banks of the river.
